How to click great product photos with just your mobile

Good photos sell. You do not need a camera: a clean mobile phone and these tips are enough.

Use daylight

Shoot near a window or the shop entrance during the day. Avoid yellow tube lights and flash.

Keep the background plain

A white or light wall, a plain cloth or a sheet of chart paper works well. Remove clutter from the frame.

Clean the lens

Wipe your phone camera with a soft cloth. A dirty lens makes every photo blurry.

Take 3-4 angles

Front, side, close-up of details (fabric, stitching, design) and one photo showing size or use.

Same style for all products

Use the same background and light for every product. Your catalogue will look neat and professional.

Do not over-edit

Small brightness changes are fine. Heavy filters make colours wrong, and customers return products that look different.
